My name is Ron Whitacre and I am of Senior Minister of the congregation of First Christian Church Bluff City. I have been in the ministry for 32 years. I am a graduate of Kentucky Christian University.
I have served in different areas of ministry: Youth, Music, and a combination of Youth & Music, Assoc. Minister, and Preaching Minister. I have been in multiple-staffed ministries with secretaries and worked well with the staff. Churches I have served range from 40 to 425 in attendance. At Browns Valley Christian Church we started with 40 in 1996 and averaged 123 in 2002. We had added two trailers to accommodate our youth growth.
I have a love for people and want them to know Jesus, the Christ. I want to lead people into a greater worship of our Savior. I want to lead those in the church as well as those outside the church, through community involvement, to imitate Christ. I want to be out around people as well as in the study. I enjoy Bible studies and visitations, (in homes and medical facilities).
I am 54 years old; I have a wonderful family that lives for Christ. Diane is my wife of 32 years and is a graduate of Kentucky Christian College with a major in music. We have 3 children: Erin a gradate at Kentucky Christian College, majored in Music Education. Amber is a graduate at Kentucky Christian College, with a Elementary Education degree and married to
Justin Davis Childrens Minister at Boones Creek Christian Church in Gray, TN. They have a beautiful 18 month daughter named Kerrington. Ronnie is working in Lafayette, IN and is interested in playing in Bands.
